How do I apply for a job at Yolk?

What qualities are you looking for in a candidate?
Although experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment is handy, it’s not a requirement! We are looking for happy, polite and engaging people, who take pride in hard work and would relish the opportunity to work in a growing business.

What should I expect during the interview process?
You’ll be contacted via email initially and either have a telephone or face-to-face interview. This is just to give you more information about Yolk – who we are, what we do and why! We also want to find out more about you, what makes you tick and what you’re looking for in your next role.
You may then be invited to an on-site trial for a couple of hours, to meet the team and get to see a glimpse of what life at Yolk is like. We know that when you’re on a trial, you don’t know our names, our menus, how the tills work or where we keep the ciabatta… so the trial is predominantly for you to check us out and see how we work. We’ll be looking to see if you’re interested, if you engage with our team & guests - and if we click!
If you’re invited to join the team, you’ll then receive an offer letter and some onboarding documents to read, understand and sign. Then we’ll get you started ASAP to begin your Yolk training!!

What is the dress code for trials?
Flat-soled, non-slip shoes are a must! Trainers are fine… Trousers or leggings (no saggy grey joggers please!) and a plain black top (sweatshirt, t-shirt, hoodie are all ok, but no strappy tops) - we’ll provide you with an apron to wear on your trial.
